Quick answer: If you hold an African passport and want to renew your UAE visit visa without going home, the usual route is an Airport-to-Airport (A2A) visa change by flight from Sharjah or Dubai. Most African nationalities are eligible. Nigerian passport holders and some other restricted nationalities are currently not eligible, so always check with us before you book.

Who can do an A2A visa change?

  • Eligible: Most African nationalities, for example Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa and others.
  • Not currently possible: Nigeria and certain other restricted nationalities.

Eligibility is decided by UAE immigration and can change without notice. Send us a photo of your passport on WhatsApp and we will confirm your eligibility before you pay.

Why A2A instead of a bus visa change?

Bus visa changes go through a land border, and entry rules there are not open to many African passports. An A2A trip keeps you in the airport transit area, so you do not need a visa for the other country. This makes it the standard, safe option for most African travellers.

How the A2A visa change works

  1. Check eligibility and send documents by WhatsApp or our online form, before your visa or grace period ends.
  2. We apply for your new UAE visa (30 or 60 days) through an approved sponsor.
  3. Fly out from Sharjah or Dubai airport to a nearby airport and wait in the transit area.
  4. Receive your approved visa and fly back to the UAE on your new visa.

Documents you need

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Clear passport copy (colour scan)
  • Recent photo with a white background
  • Copy of your current visit visa or cancelled residence visa
  • Any overstay fine paid or cleared, if applicable

When should you start?

Contact us 3 to 5 days before your visa or grace period ends. This gives time for the new visa approval and flight booking, and helps you avoid overstay fines.
